In 2022, Taprorabana was founded with the goal of offering superior services related care giver education and training to in-home domiciliary care. No matter the age range, Taprorabana is a leader in its area, offering specially designed education and training and care packages to fit you or your loved ones at home. Our goal is to establish long-lasting relationships with each one of our clients’ families. Since our employees are a vital component of the service, we make significant investments in their education, training, and technology to provide the best possible customer service, accurate record keeping, and insightful feedback for training needs when needed. With excellent inter-relationship management and a high standard of service delivery, we assist families in their effective engagement in care at home services. respecting the human dignity and care rights of the service user, as well as training and upskilling every domiciliary care professional to become the best at what they do.
Our Care Promise

❖ We commit to providing you with choice, dignity, independence, partnership, privacy, respect, rights, safety, equality and inclusion, and confidentiality as part of our care standards.
❖ Service flexibility: we engage carers to provide more tailored care at your home, as well as housekeepers to provide daily, weekly, or monthly housekeeping.
❖ Assistance/Advice We are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
❖ Every day, we review and assess your needs, and all information is sent back to our care practice manager, as well as daily updates to the service user or his or her representative.
❖ Assurance of information sharing: we make certain that the people who are essential to you are notified. As the most essential service user, you are included in all decision-making processes and information exchange as agreed to by allocated representatives and/or your medical practice updates.
❖ Carers are all trained and accredited to provide unsupervised support with all activities of daily living (ADL) and are all qualified and experienced in caregiving best practices.
❖ Prior to any placement, all our carers and housekeepers are taught in-house and debriefed. Staff are kept up to date on best practices through ongoing training, feedback, and staff meetings.
❖ Client input: Our practice manager will conduct regular client feedback surveys to ensure that our service and staff are meeting our expectations.

Mrs.D.M.JAYAKODY
Retired Matron
Mrs. Jayakody began her nursing profession at Walasmulla District Hospital as a trained nurse. In 1970, she earned her postgraduate courses in midwifery management in Colombo and began working as a ward sister at Walisara Hospital. She worked as a ward sister at Lady Ridgeway Boralle Hospital for Children from 1973 to 1985. She was then appointed Special Grade Nursing Officer (Matron) at Ragama Chest Hospital. she later worked as a special grade nursing officer at Colombo South Teaching Hospital for two years. She retired in 1998 from her career after serving nine years as the special Grade Nursing Officer (Matron) at The Castle Hospital for Women.
During her service as a Senior Grade Nursing Officer (Matron), she was accountable for hospital management, monitoring and ensuring high-quality nursing care, maintaining standards of care, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory authorities. Her responsibilities also included collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, MLT workers, and therapists. She was also in charge of planning and implementing educational programmed for nursing personnel to ensure they have the knowledge they need to do their jobs effectively. Taprorabana is pleased to welcome Mrs. Jayakody to the Taprorabana Care Solution Training Centre to receive her expertise.
